Notes
It is remarkable by the small and magenta flower, in contrast with other related Xiquexique species. Accesions have been sampled in phylogenetic studies (Romeiro-Brito et al. 2023), supported with high support as sister of X. gounellei subsp. zehntneri.A
Distribution (General)
It is a microendemic species from Brazil, occuring exclusively on limestone outcrops in Minas Gerais.
