Four species of the mountains of Turkey and Iran. Treated as Minuartia sect. Lanceolatae ser. Dianthifoliae by McNeill (1962), Dillenberger & Kadereit (2014) found the sampled taxa forming an isolated clade that could be interpreted as sister to a clade that included Sagina, Colbanthus, Facchinia, and Sabulina.A
