Notes

Stipulicida is found only in the southeastern United States and Cuba. Long thought to be monotypic, a recent morphological study (Poindexter & al. 2014) proposed recognition of two species. Work is underway to confirm placement in the Polycarpaeae (K. M. Neubig & R. K. Rabeler, unpubl. data).A
