    Notes

    About 20 species in the Mediterranean region. Greenberg & Donoghue (2011) showed Bufonia as sister to the remainder of Sagineae (except for Drypis) while Dillenberger & Kadereit (2014) found it was an unsupported sister to a clade containing Minuartia s.str. and Mcneillia.A,B,C
