Notes

Two species distributed along the central and western coasts of the Mediterranean region. Initially it was described as Myriolepis, but due to the similarity the earlier validly published generic name Myrialepis Becc. (Arecaceae), Myriolepis was considered an illegitimate name and replaced by Myriolimon (Lledó et al., 2003, 2005b). Its monophyly is confirmed in phylogenetic studies (Lledó et al., 2005a; Malekmohammadi et al., 2017; Koutroumpa et al., 2018).A
