Genus of two woody mangrove species (shrubs or small trees); one native to Southeast Asia, the other native to Australia and Papua New Guinea. Sister to the rest of Limonioideae (Lledó & al. 2001, 2005) and placed in the monogeneric tribe Aegialitideae (Lledó & al. 2001).A
