Scleranthus
Content
Notes
About 12 species native to Eurasia and Australasia. Smissen & al. (2002) found Scleranthus to be monophyletic and should be treated as two subgenera; subg. Scleranthus (3 spp., Eurasia) and subg. Mniarum (9 spp., southeastern Australasia). Dillenberger & Kadereit (2014) found Scleranthus was sister to one of ten clades of Minuartia s.l., treated by them as Cherleria.
