Dolophragma in Ann. Wiener Mus. Naturgesch. 1: 63. 1836 sec. Sadeghian & al. (2015)
- Type: Dolophragma globiflorum
A genus of four or five Himalayan species. Most recently treated as a subgenus of Arenaria (McNeill 1962), Sadeghian & al. (2015) suggested the genus be again recognized after finding that the one sampled species clustered near Eremogone, either as a sister to Silene or between Eremogone and Silene. They also noted that the result that Greenberg & Donoghue (2011) reported showing Arenaria przewalskii Maxim. clustering with members of Pseudostellaria and Lepyrodiclis suggests that Dolophragma may be polyphyletic.
